My mom selected this book for me and I thought it sounded really good. It seemed like "The" one to get. However, this book is obviously written for those who have some familiarity with Yiddish and need only an explanation of the origins of its use. I was really looking forward to expanding my Yiddish vocabulary to more than a few words. I didn't quite benefit from this book and would have preferred to have a Yiddish-English dictionary. So I am going to re-post this book.
