Just Juice
Author: Karen Hesse
Letters and numbers still don't make sense to Juice Faulstich. She'd rather skip school and spend the day at home in the North Carolina hills, anyway. But when the bank threatens to repossess her family's home, Juice faces her first life-sized problem.

Juice struggles with school and learning to read. Her family is struggles because her father is out of work. He can't read and that nearly costs them their home because the taxes have not been paid for two years. Another great read by Karen Hesse!
