A really cute, and uplifting story. If you liked Julie and Romeo, you'll like this too.
Terrific book. A "smart, heartwarming story of timeless love and family loyalty". Really a jewel as the 60+ recently connected and not yet married couple deals with a Willie Wonka/lottery obsessed eight year old granddaughter, a 40 year old pregant-with-triplets daughter, numerous other family & friends, no privacy and an aching back.

Julie and Romeo are an elderly couple, who both design flowers, and who are both madly in love. Romeo tries to carry Julie up the stairs and puts his back out. He is confined to bed in Julie's room. Meanwhile Julie's daughter and her children are already living with her. Julie's other daughter Nora hurts herself, is confined to bed, and insists her mother can take better care of her than her husband can. She has her husband move her, her bed and all the things she thinks she needs into Julie's living room. Romeo's children and his 93 year old mother normally live with him, and they want him back. Then Julie's grand daughter wins the lottery and things really get out of control! I found this book funny and refreshingly unique. Was this review helpful?

In Julie and Romeo Get Lucky, all Julie and Romeo really want is a quiet house. Instead they get a back injury and more people moving in. Julie's granddaughter has everyone buying lottery tickets. Between the constant playing of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the many people in her house, will Julie and Romeo get lucky and find time alone?
This is the second book in this series.

This book is the continuation of Romeo and Julie. The themes of luck, family, and personal space/time are carried well through this book.A very quick read with an uplifting story.I cannot imagine the amount of family members under one roof that Julie must provide care and attention. I can't wait for the next installment of this family's story.
This is a cute story that entertained me quite well while I was driving to and from work. The "romance" is really minimal. The descriptions of family life are the center of the story.
I gave this story 4 stars because it entertained me and I liked how it ended (not abruptly).

Cute sequel to Julie & Romeo. Light listen. 5 cass. 7 hrs unabridged
Nice follow-up to the original, "Julie and Romeo," in which someone in the family wins the lottery, and Romeo is bed-ridden. Lots of conflicts, happy ending.
I loved the first book but I loved this one so much more. It was a quick and entertaining read and I've been wondering what will hapen to Julie and Romeo next!
Jeanne Ray has a light and comic touch to family dramas. Fun reading.
Julie and Romeo's families have been rivals for generations. Of course, they fall in love, but an accident leaves Julie handling the families' businesses and nursing Romeo back to health. Completely entertaining.
very cute and funny romance -- Jewish woman and Italian man's families were rivals in business -- years later, these two meet again and fall in love
The sequel to "Julie and Romeo", this book is just as humorous and was very easy for me to relate to.
Romeo and Juliet with a twist. Very funny
I loved it!!!!!! I think it was even better than the first book. I really hope that there will be a 3rd book.
A light book, never read the first book of the series
Second book in a two-book series. Wonderful love story with 2 families feuding. "For generations, their families were rival florists and bitter enenmies. Then Julie and Roeo met by chance, just as each became single again, and they fell in love."
UNABRIDGED/5 CASSETTES/APPROX 7 HOURS. AUDIOBOOK IS IN LIKE-NEW CONDITION. PURCHASED NEW, LISTENED TO ONCE.
Julie Roseman and Romeo Cacciamani know a thing or two about good fortune. For generations, their families were rival florists and bitter enemies. Then Julie and Romeo met by chance, just as each became single again. Even more miraculous, they fell in love.
Three years later, Julie and Romeo are still blissfully happy. They don't often get a quiet moment alone, and rarely manage a night -- quiet or otherwise -- in the same bed, but Julie feels blessed by what they do have: true love, wonderful jobs, and houses packed to the rafters with family. Romeo's ninety-three-year-old mother, his son Alan, Alan's wife and their three children live with him; Julie's daughter Sandy and her family -- including Sandy's Willy Wonka-obsessed daughter, Sarah, and their cat -- live with her. The odds of Julie and Romeo getting a few days of peace together seem about as likely as winning the lottery.
But their wish comes true -- with a twist -- when an injury puts Romeo flat on his back in Julie's room. Spending days in bed may sound heavenly, but with Romeo on pain pills, initially as comatose as Juliet in her tomb, the reality is less romantic. Then Julie's other daughter, Nora, drops her own crisis on her mother's doorstep. Now Julie has to figure out how to run two flower shops, take care of an ever-expanding household, nurse her beloved Romeo back to health, tackle Sarah's fixation with lottery tickets, and keep her daughters from regressing into full-scale teenage bickering. And Lady Luck has one more surprise in store....
Wonderfully witty and unerringly wise, Julie and Romeo Get Lucky is a smart, heartwarming story of timeless love and family loyalty, and a reminder that if you suddenly get everything you ever wished for, the only thing to do is live happily ever after.
