Please be aware that this is a two book set. The 27 tales referred to in the text are split between the two books. The red covered book shown above is Volume II. It contains 14 stories. The first volume's cover looks exactly as shown above but is forest green and tan rather than red and tan. It's a wonderful set and sure to bring an apprecation of Grimm stories to the reader. Sendak's illustrations are classic and so hauntingly gentle and beautiful.
