This is a wonderful book about a class of special need students. The class is referred to as the "junkyard" and a target of bullies. They start out feeling bad about themselves but have an amazing teacher and these friendships grow. Through a class project, the students shine. This is a longer book but it deeply held the attention of all my students. I'd highly recommend this book to others.
