Really easy and quick read. This is book three but you don't really have to read the other ones to know what is going on. Phillips kind of gives you a quick summary of everything, but it would be nice if you want a more in depth view of the characters and background.
I actually agree with Dare's assessment of Liza's relationship with her brother. She does enable his alcoholism and at some point she does have to cut him off. So I actually thought everyone was too harsh with Dare being "judgemental." At the same time, when he has his big blow-out with Liza she forgave too easily for someone who had such issues with opening up and trust.
Other than that, it was a fun, brainless read.
I know the next few books of he series will be focused on the police department characters: Cara and Sam. Curious to see if they will be any good.
