Kijewski is a very entertaining writer.
I've loved every one of her books.
This series is intelligently written with flashes of humor throughout the attention-holding mystery.
the first 2 are great, but after that she really blossoms.

Kat Colorado is a super character. She has issues, she is a human! But she always gets her man, even if it involves her own family.
A twisty and scary mystery from Karen Kijewski. It follows KATWALK, but theres no need to read the initial book first. The author has done a very good job of informing you whats going on so you havent missed anything if you start with KATAPULT.
The bartender-turned private investigator gets clients from all walks of life; one client is a teen-aged runaway turned hooker who is obsessed about the Mickey Mouse watch her murdered friend was wearing.
And thats only in the first few pages.

Loved it!
One of a series of mysteries featuring P.I. Kat Colorado. Well written and engrossing. Shamus and Anthony Award winning author.
A murderer has struck close to home and Kat Colorado is taking it personally. Her cousin Johnny has been found stabbed to death in the parking lot of the Homestead Cafe. And now Kat's on the prowl-trailing a killer through a dangerous world of shady real estate shenanigans and teenage hookers.
I have not read this book yet but would like to before mailing. I can mail within 2 weeks after acceptance. I usually read a book on average every 3-4 days.
