I'm not one for cutesy little stories about puppies and rainbows but I loved this book. I have had cocker spaniels all my life, as has my mother and grandmother so I figured it may be worth a laugh. Little did I know that I would read this book in 6 hours!
As soon as I started reading I kept thinking of our current dog and ones who had passed before. It is hard to not relate to this book in any way. If you are an animal lover at all, I suggest this book. It is not all just about the dog but how the dog made a family from the most unexpected events and people.

This was a delightful read. It had so many interesting people in the lives of Katie, I found it
hard to stop reading at night and turn out the lights to sleep.
Katie had a remarkable and interesting life. All dogs should be so blessed. All the other reviews I read were
great and right on.

This is about how some condo residents came to form a community of sorts because of the friendly dog the author had for many years. I will use pp. 167-193 as supplemental reading for students considering 9/11 because the building is hard by the WTC.
I only flipped through the book except for the pages noted but it seems a pleasant read for dog-lovers.
