More often than I'd like when I try to get on the site I get a message telling me to clear cookies. I've had to do so twice in the last fortnight and settings show I'm only clearing 9 cookies. Then it's still difficult to access the site in the normal way and it's a roundabout go a the computer until I get back on. Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions as to how to avoid the problem? Thanks. Last Edited on: 7/26/24 8:37 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

How long has this been going on? I mostly use Amazon's Silk browser on my Fire tablet, or Samsung's browser on my Android phone, and never have this problem. Could be a browser issue, or something else entirely. |

It's about a fortnight now. The page indicating I'm kicked off says that I've 'redirected' the site too many times. But the only option listed is clearing cookies, which mostly works but sometimes I have to go to PBS's info page to log in again. |

I would switch browsers for PBS. I use Firefox and it works well for me. |

What browser are you using and is it the most updated version? Does the issue happen using multiple browsers or just one browser? I have to use different browsers for different sites sometimes as some don't seem compatible. It sounds like you are having an issue with cookies or your cache. It could be an issue with antivirus software or a firewall too. Hope you get it sorted out. |

Hmmm, I often get that 'cookies' message but I just ignore it and get right on. I use Safari and Firefox to access PBS-- when one can't get me on, the other usually can but yesterday both were totally 'out' . Was on at 11am and got kicked out from Safari with a '504' msg so tried Forefox and it said PBS was down!! Checked with some friends who I text with and they all could get on! I finally was able to get back on close to 1pm. |

I know that the "redirected" message generally means your browser has become confused. Restarting the browser can help, and if that doesn't do it, then clearing the cookies is a good solution. |

I'm using Edge and it is the most updated version. Odd that nothing like this ever happens on other sites. |
