I am not sure that there is a similar book out there like this. The author wrote in first person, so our main character Darcy, has a son who is getting married to a family that is well off, like Hamptons well off.
You know in some books there is this formula that the main character has some big flaw and has to work through her failings to become who she needs to be.
Overall our main character already is who she needs to be. She makes good choices. Doesnt fight too much with her ex husband, loves her job, is a great mother and cook. She is very confident. So she handles well her ex new girlfriend who keeps trying to take over the Sons wedding arrangements. She doesnt fight or bicker with her soon to be in laws. She over all does well. And when the crisis hits near the end she still does well. She is a good person, who does know when to keep her mouth shut, but thank goodness she doesnt have to wear beige.
It is worth reading because it offers something more than chick lit or those divorced women trying to find themselves again books.

A great book from one of my favorite authors. I could relate having married off 6 sons and a daughter. A keeper!
I loved this book!! As usual, Seidel's characters are so vividly drawn. I cried as I approached the end of this book and a few hours after finishing it, picked it up and read most of it again!
I enjoyed this book very much!! Very well-developed and engaging characters, and a satisfactory ending. I would read other books by this author.
