A very interesting romance story about a Doctor who attempts and fails to save the life of the woman (Annie O'Neill)who is in lust with her husband. He husband on the other hand is absolutely in love with Annie to the point of being obsessed. Annie's death sends him over the edge and he walks out on his wife (Dr. Olivia Simon). Olivia finds that after years of trying to become pregnant, she has finally succeeded and now has no husband to share this joy with. Does she try and get him back or go for Annie's husband, from whom Annie has hidden a lifetime of secrets from; who is about to find out his world as he thinks it is doesn't exist.
They are all tied together by their attempt to save the Kiss River Light House - whose former keeper of the light knows shocking truths that has the power to set them all free.

Good story, somewhat predicatable (until the end) so you must read it to know the whole story. I like the twist and I'm glad I finished it.

This is the beginning, I think, of the Kiss River "series". I really like Chamberlain's writing style and like these characters a lot.
I loved this book. Great characters, great story line. Romance, mystery, it had everything I love in a book. Very well writen. I intend to read more of Diane Chamberlains books. Excellent.
