This is book #1 of Michaels "Kentucky" trilogy. If you enjoy stories about thoroughbred horses, and racing among people you are interested in, this is the start of a great read!

From back of book:

I really loved this book and author...
The Coleman's of Texas and the Thortons of Vegas just would not stay out of my head.. They seemed to be saying, there's more to our story, and it has to be told, so, what can I do but, tell it..
fascinating book and Author

This is book #1 in a trilogy. It's about horses and relationships. I enjoyed it enough to purchase #2 and #3 sequels.
Josh Colemn left unfinished family business when he took to his deathbed at SunStar, the horse farm he'd built from nothing. But now his long-lost daughter has come home to settle an old score.
Continuing the saga of the Colemans and the Thorntons as recounted in Texas and Vegas, this latest novel puts the next generation center stage and is the first in a projected new trilogy. Thirty years after escaping her father's repressive Virginia home with her illegitimate daughter, Nealy Coleman Diamond returns to his deathbed, scrabbling to find answers to why Josh Coleman was so hateful and abusive. In the intervening period, she's become a woman of means, succeeding in the man's world of thoroughbred racing in Kentucky. Once all the secrets have been revealed and she's taken revenge on the scoundrel who impregnated her, will Nealy be free to find true love at last? As usual with Michaels's sagas, the characters range from the kindhearted to the blackhearted, with scarcely any halftones between. The plot verges on the melodramatic, but it moves too quickly to pall. It helps for readers to be interested in racing, since Michaels knows her Secretariat from her Man O'War. The audience for her previous works is probably waiting at the starting gate for this one. PUBLISHERS WEEKLY REVIEW
I was so thrilled to discover that the Colemans' and Thornton's from the Texas and Vegas Series had been continued in Kentucky Rich. I was hooked from the first page. It's a great way to escape everyday life and fantasize a little. When the book ended, I felt like I'd lost a friend. However, I look forward to renewing old friendships in the next book.
The continuing saga of the Colemans of Texas and the Thorntons of Vegas. Follows Nealy Coleman and her family..Excellent reading.
Conclusion of "Kentucky" trilogy - it hurts to turn the last page...
Fern Michael's does these family series so well. This is a good one.
Lovely book about a family living in the Country and a young girl who has always wanted to own a horse and be involved in the Kentucky Derby one day. Lovely book that is one of those books to read in a hammack on a sunny day sipping Ice Tea!
An exciting new story that combines the thrills of Kentucky horse racing with strong, accomplished women who fight for their dreams.
Good enjoyable read!
