A very cute book, and it actually turned out to be quite different from the movie. From the first time that Kiki flies off on her own the book and movie have nearly nothing in common. Kiki meets quite a few people through her work, including a seamstress, a painter, and the town mayor. She learns different lessons in each chapter, but the book still has an easygoing feel to it (rather than that icky textbook feeling a lot of childrens books seem to have). I hope that the next books in the series make it to the states!
Very cute childrens' book that follows and has pictures from the movie of the same name by Hayao Miyazaki.
