These are eight stories written by Chandler which he never wanted published as he "cannibalized" them to use in his novels. My favorite was "A Lady in the Lake," while I liked "Mandarin's Jade" the least. And I found the ending of "No Crime in the Mountains" a bit hard to accept.

If you liked his novels, you'll enjoy these stories.
