New author to me and I really enjoyed this book. LA is the perfect spot for a lot of weird characters who also do some weird and crazy things. I didn't even suspect the person the killer turned out to be.

I enjoy the series. Good characters and quick reads.
In this one, Madeline is "out of work" due to the company she sold her business to filing an injunction. She and Wesley cannot work until those questions are resolved. In the meantime she nearly gets run over by a car, helps a car-jacking victim (or is she??) and is pressured into helping with a wedding planning business. When the owner is murdered, Madeline helps out. I didn't see the ending of this one coming!
