Great suspense novel about an FBI agent on the hunt for a sadistic serial killer. The agent, Jack Scott, is determined to capture Zak Dorani before he murders a little girl he's kidnapped. As Jack hunts for the killer, Zak stalks & taunts Jack. What angers Jack even more is that Zak was once captured by Jack but then released on a technicality. The book is rich in plot; plenty of twists and turns and the characters are well-drawn. "Just Killing Time" manages to be scary in a suspenseful sort of way which is probably due to the fact that there's very little gore but much action. Couldn't put it down!

"Just Killing Time" surpasses every other thriller and mystery novel I've ever read in terms of level of suspense, plot and character development, and technical detail. He delves deep into the psychological factors involved in the mind of a serial killer, and unlike so many of the mass-market/generic/airport novels available today, he writes with a tone of credibility that reaffirms his background as an investigative reporter and a government official involved with several law enforcement agencies during the Carter administration.

Good read in my opinion.
Really suspenseful!
A used bookstore book (readable, but not good, condition) with a very good story about a serial killer who is caught and then set free by the courts.
good read
