I HAVE TRIED TO READ THIS BOOK SEVERAL TIMES, I JUST CAN'T GET INTO IT. THE AUTHOR JUMPS SO MUCH IN THIS BOOK THAT IT CAUSES CONFUSION WHEN READING. VERY HARD TO FOLLOW. I DON'T SUGGEST AN ATTEMPT IF YOU ARE LIKE ME AND HAVE A SHORT ATTENTION SPAN. BASICALLY SHE HAS COMPILED A SHORT NOVEL OF EVENTS THAT OCCUR IN THE LIVES OF WOMEN WHO ARE HITTING MENOPAUSE SO TO SPEAK IF NOT ALREADY GONE THROUGH THE CHANGE OF LIFE. THAT IS ABOUT AS MUCH AS I CAN TELL YOU OF WHAT THIS BOOK IS ABOUT. I RECKON IF YOUR OLDER IT WOULD MAKE MORE SENSE, BUT I AM ONLY 26. GOOD LUCK!
Linked stories of East Coast women friends as they marry, have children and age. Will bring back memories if you were a bride in the 50s (or help you understand your mother). Well reviewed in NYT, Chicago Tribune and Boston Globe
