This is a gripping page turner. I love the tough (with real superpowers!) yet fragile heroine, Gaby, and the tough (law and order cop) yet tender hero, Luther, in this series. It's wonderful to watch their relationship progress. There are also compelling secondary characters that it's fun to follow. I'm new to urban fantasy, so some of the murder/torture descriptions are a little graphic for me. If you're used to a sweet Lori Foster romance, you need to know going in that this is a bit different. Someone else's tag said "last in the series" and I really hope that's not the case. There's a lot of evil out there for Gaby and Luther to battle and I think they're just getting started.
