We just read this as a followup to The Odyssey. It is written from the point of view of Telemachus. Magic creatures are involved, as they were in the Odyssey. It diverges from the Odyssey in small ways, and gives an alternate ending to the story. Very easy to read, except for some of the names, and quite enjoyable.
