Blast from the past.
I was a little dissapointed to find that this is actually a revised version of Circle in the Water, rather than a new novel. However, this reworked version has held the good parts of the original, while making the story even better. If you have never read Circle in the Water, definitely choose this one instead. Still a pretty good read for those who originally read this before too.
Very good Tudor era romance filled with lots of intrigue and Henry VIII at his despotic worst.

It was an "all right" read. It started out strong, then waned and ended on a so-so note. My favorite part of the book was the storyline surrounding Oliver and his illness. The father's angst regarding his son's illness was palpable and the developing relationship between the heroine and her stepson was touching.

Slow going at first and I wasn't sure of it, but it got better as it went; so much so that I will definately look at the rest of the series. Very good characters and a better than average plot. I liked the Romanov link with the typical victorian romance.

It took a little bit for me to get into this book. I liked Juliana but I wanted her to stand up to Stephen's hot and cold verbal abuse a little bit more. She kind of just endures in order to break down his shields. I think I only started getting into it when Stephen's "secret" was revealed. After that he slowly becomes less of a jerk.
Good read although I always find Wiggs a little too wordy. I think Juliana really carried the book along with the cast of side characters.

This is a reprint (and re-name) of "Circle in the Water"

I really enjoyed this book even though I was unsure about it at first.
I might have give this book 2.5 stars, but it wasn't worth rounding up.
The story starts out okay, but about halfway through it turns in to a twisted version of The Secret Garden. I put this book on my "oh, Duh" list.

was very good. enjoyed it.
Overall, I liked the book. Wasn't quite as detailed about living within the Tudor Court as I thought it would be. Very interesting story, the collision of two entirely different worlds. The book, to me, started fairly slowly but by midway through the book I was hooked and couldn't put it down.
This was my first Susan Wiggs book. I loved the storyline and the tie in with the Tudor Court. This was a fun read and it kept my interest the entire time. I am looking forward to reading the other 2 books in this triligy.
I read this book after the other 2. fell in love with the whole series...definitely recommend
