Love this series. This is Kane and Sherra's story. He thought she died..she didn't but losing her child wasn't far from it. Now they find each other again and the "heat" begins. She fights it but he will wear her down.

These are getting better and better. The emotions are well done, the plot is more than just the HOT scenes... and the HOT scenes are, well, HOT! :)

I must say that I strongly disagree with most of the reviews on this book. I just did not like it.
The characters are a mess and by the time the issues were resolved at the end, I just really didn't care but made myself finish the book, which was hard to find (Amazon rocks!). Some reviews said that the female Sherra was a downer and Kane was wonderful. I totally disagree. I thought Sherra was OK and Kane was hateful, mean and not funny at all. What sense of humor.? Yes, there is the typical misunderstanding, but somehow its always the traumatized female victims fault for not being totally logical and rational as they are raped and tortured as a child or young women. The other breed males including her two brothers (who are supposed to be all so protective of each other) let Kane humiliate, demean and verbally abuse Sherra constantly in front of everyone). The answer is never about the female, if she is hurt the male says "do you know how that would effect me". She was brutally gang raped, the male feels "do you know how much that hurt me."
Those men should have stood by Sherra, and kicked Kane's a$$ for his behavior, then told Sherra to get over herself, someone did eventually, but Kane still deserved a but wooping. Yes she had her downer moments, but I thought they were understandable and not rooted in the past, but how he was treating her in the present. It was abusive. all for her own good overcourse. This mating, is by the mating heat only, not love.

Love this series!!
This series is getting better and better. Kane and Sherra have a history together, both have been lied to by Sherra's brother Dayan. Sherra has been told that Kane ran away to save his own skin and didn't want Sherra no more. While Kane was told Sherra was killed, and he paid revenge on the people who were responsible. Eleven years latter Kane and Sherra saw each other but its been hell on them both. Sherra never told Kane about there child that was killed in her womb but being Kane can dig anything up he found out about everything that Sherra has kept hidden. Sherra doesn't want to give Kane her love in fear of loosing him again and Kane wants Sherra to let go of the past and look forward to their future when she ever lets go. Sherra will have to let her her past wash out of her memories and start new ones she she has given Kane her love and a new beginning, science has nothing on Sherra now after she went from sterilized to pregnant, but she don't care she has what she thought she lost, her love for Kane and their new life together.
As always Lora Leigh's breed series is spot on, and no different with this one yet again a good book from Ms. Leigh!
