A Dark-Hunter novel. The story of Wulf Tryggvasen. No one remembers Wulf 5 minutes after he has left their presence, except for those of his bloodline, other Dark-Hunters, gods and demi-gods....until he rescues Cassandra Peters. Half human and half Appolite, Cassandra is being hunted by the son of Apollo who believes her death will free the curse which banishes all Daimons to the darkness. Of course her death will also mean the destruction of the sun, the earth and all who live there. Now it's Wulf's job to protect a woman of the race he has been hunting all his life.

I am in awe of Kenyon's imagination. Her Dark-Hunter series is well-written, and she has an exceptional talent for tying the books together in new and different ways. You fall in love with her heroes as they learn to love and be loved.

The characters in this book are very interesting, very likeable, and very funny. Wulf is my favorite "Dark Hunter", at least so far, and I was delighted with the character of Cassandra. Chris, the only one who can remember Wulf for more than five minutes, beside the other Dark Hunters, before Cassandra come into Wulf's live is so sarcastically funny, and provides much comic relief during the darker story times.

While I have enjoyed reading the previous Dark Hunter books by Kenyon, this one has made me a real fan!

This is Book 5 of the "Dark-Hunter" series. It tells the story of Wulf, an ancient Viking and Dark-Hunter, who is assigned by Ash to protect an Apollite princess, Cassandra. It seems Cassie is the last of her royal bloodline and must breed before she turns 27 or the world will end. Of course the nasty god Stryker is involved to make things difficult. Lots going on in this novel, and I don't want to post any spoilers.

I can say I love how each novel in this series gives us another clue about Ash's awesome powers and his relationship with Simi. I just adore Ash and think he is probably my very fav of the Dark-Hunters. It was also nice to learn more about Stryker's son Urian in this novel. Once again, this is a touching love story with a fabulous ending, and I enjoyed every page of it!

Loved the beginning of the book. Couldn't wait to get into it more but it fell flat for me. I think the two got to far involved to fast. I also felt it was very disconnected from the rest of the dark-hunter series. Defiantly not my favorite.

I always love Sherrilyn Kenyon's books! No they aren't literary works of art or anything, no one will be comparing them to Gatsby or Wuthering Heights in a few years, is that why I would read them anyway...no! I read them because I love supernatural and I am a sucker for a feel good romance, sizzling sex, the star crossed lovers, the action and thinking how are they going to work this out. I'm not planning on writing an essay on what the author was trying to symbolize by the apollite race or anything, I left that behind years ago. I've read the classics and highly recommend everyone does but, when I'm laying on the beach watching my kids build sandcastles (and the occasional cuting walking by) that's not what I'm into, when it's cold and the snow is flying around outside my house that's not what I pick up to warm up, it's Sherrilyn Kenyon and her Darkhunters if I have one available and I usually do. This one is no exception, it did provide me with quite a surprise however! As a side note I don't read them in order and so far I don't think it has affected the story lines for me at all.
