Absolutely the worst of Woods' books. A shallow tale of bed-hopping in endless variety and little else. The Stone Barrington of earlier novels has become a man of little depth and no morality. Yuck! The only thing to celebrate here is the man's stamina.

Most Boring Stone Barrington book I've read... Up to this point I have loved this series. This one had a weak plot. Very hard to old my interest. Maybe it's time Stone Barrington retires...

I love this series and once you've read up to this one, it's nice to know all the characters so well. Stone is a stud in them all but the amount of sex he had in this one was a bit much and overdone. Male author, what can you say? Living vicariously?

Not Stuart's best work. The plot was thin, the entire novel was filled with Stone's threesome's and other sexual exploits. Although I normally enjoy his noveles, this one was lacking.
Helpful Score: 1
I've followed Stone's exploits through fifteen previous books. I found this one shallow and lacking compared to the others. I prefer a little less bed hopping and a little more plot. Not that Stuart Woods cares what I think, as he so eloquently stated in the author's notes in the back of the book. I'm glad that I read a library copy this time around, and I doubt I will be adding any money to your coffers in the future Stuart.

A real disappointment. No surprises except that Woods has turned good guy Stone Barrington into a Lothario.

Usually I enjoy Stuart Woods, but this book lacked any decent plot. In fact, Stone Barrington spent more time fornicating then he did investigating. Hope his next piece of work is better!

Predictable plot.
Preposterous sex.
This was not a strong entry in the series.

If you like Stone Barrington and his girl friends. . . .this is another 1 then. . . Stone is a Guys Guy anyway. . . .most females dont care to read too much sex and dont get banter between guys.
So I would rate this 1 in the 4 range, just a quick read and OK story line

Good read. Not one of Stuart Woods finest books, but a good read. A little over the top on the sexual content, which I guess he is trying to keep it interesting, but he writes a good book without all of the kinky stuff. Stone Barrington is a great character, but after 17 books, maybe he is just trying to keep readers interested. I enjoyed reading this, but again, not his finest effort.
Well aside from the copious amounts of sex Stone has in this book--the story was better than the last one in that there was a resolution. While it is not his best Barrington book, I do appreciate the real-ness of the characters--no one is truly evil or good. The various women in the plot were a bit tough to believe in their entirety but I do appreciate that they are strong women not just damsels in distress.
The Stone Barrington series, once clever and interesting, has now become mundane and full of tepid sex scenes written obviously by a male author with no chemistry between participants. Woods thinks that by adding threesomes and girl on girl action that the plot becomes sexy and more interesting; sadly, this is not the case. The stories tend to be totally unmemorable, just like the titles.
Good book! Typical Stone Barrington with many twists and turns. As usual Stone is surrounded by women and embroiled in conflict. I read the book in one sitting. Couldn't put it down. Wish every other man you met was a Stone Barrington!
good read
If you like the Stuart Woods books, you will like this one. This is part of the Stone Barrington series that I like. As with all Stuart Woods books, they are an easy read and a real page turner.
