OK, really sad on this one. There are 2 authors I love to read in this anthology. And I didn't even mind that it was teen/YA. But this was simply stink, stank, stunk! Only story worth the time is Kelley Armstrong's. I suppose, if you like Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy, you'd be happy with her story. But it convinced me not to waste time on the series. A vampire that isn't even as strong as a depleted, vampire-addicted human? No vampires I want to read about! My first experience with the other 3 authors... Nothing worth my time here. I can only assume that, as they regularly write in the teen/YA category, there are people that will enjoy these stories.

The only story I read in the book was "Hunting Kat" by Kelley Armstrong.

As a child, Katiana was genetically altered by the mysterious Edison Group. Kat was swept to safety by Vampire Marguerite who has kept one step ahead of the group who is hunting Kat. But six months ago, a bullet to her heart changed things. Kat woke up in a morgue as a vampire, the result of the earlier genetic alterations. Trying to get a handle on her new life isnt easy for Kat. When her car is forced off of the road and down an embankment, she is captured and locked in a cell with two boys her own age. They claim that as children they were also victims of the Edison Group. Now the group has captured them and they need to escape. Putting a plan together is easyalmost too easy. Kat begins to suspect that one of both of the prisoners may not be telling the truth.

This is a very short novella by Kelley Armstrong. Ive read that it ties into her Darkest Powers series but I had no problem following the story without reading the series. After reading this too-short story, I look forward to trying the Darkest Powers series soon. My rating: 3 Stars.

All the story's are great. One was hard to follow but in the end even that one made sense.
