It's interesting to see how Agatha has changed, but somehow still remained the same. I love her. This was a fun, quick read.

The last couple of Agatha Raisin books have been tiresome. I am tired of the James - James - James story line. Enough! But, Kissing Christmas Goodbye has very little of the lost romance and is just a good story with Agatha being Agatha instead of Agatha being "poo little heart broken girl". The story was more solid, with better characters and a more fully fleshed out story line, and I am pleased to say, once again humorous like the early stories. I highly recommend.

This book didnt catch my interest at first like Agathas usually do, but after a bit I was well invested. It is a darker book than usual, but there is no bloodiness or anything, just the mood is darker. I must admit it kept me guessing all through the book. I also like how it didnt end directly after solving the murder, but there was a good chapter afterwards. Looks like the bloom is off of the James rose, which is (in my opinion) a relief. I also found the new detective, Toni, to be delightful. She adds spark to a rather long series. Good read!

This was my first Agatha Raisin book. Agatha is a British detective in her 50's. This book begins with a letter sent to Agatha from a Mrs. Tamworthy wanting her help as she thinks someone in her family will try to kill her. After mulling over whether to pursue this Agatha goes to visit Mrs. Tamworthy and soon Agatha is investigating her murder. Agatha also hires a young girl, Toni, who seems to have a knack for coming up with ideas for finding clues. The plot is full of twists and turns. I bought this book because of its Christmas theme and throughout Agatha is planning to have the best Christmas ever. In the past her Christmas parties have been disastrous and she hopes that this one will be different. It is a quick read and was enjoyable.

Really enjoyed this adventure with Agatha,Charles, Roy and the rest of the bunch of regulars.Hope to see more of Toni.Few inconsitencies but overall excellent fun read

At first, this episode didn't seem that different than the rest of the series; but, in thinking about it, the author seems have mellowed out (best way I can think to describe it) Agatha's world.
Loved it. I have read all the books by this author. Can't wait to move on to the next.

I just adore Agatha and bless her little black heart, she is trying so hard to have the Christmas of her childhood dreams. As always she stumbles and finds excuses and just bullies her way through situations when if she would just relax all would be well. The long-suffering vicars wife, I really don't know why they are still friends, tries so hard to guide our Agatha but just picks up the pieces one more time. All does end well and you just have to give our girl credit for trying. Ms. Beaton just keeps going from strength to strength with Agatha and I cannot believe this is our eighteenth journey together. Long may Agatha...reign and find true love and forget about James!
