wasnt overly into this book. Everything went too fast. He's gone, she found him, they did this little thing and boom it was over. I got through the first two books but had to force myself. Not a series I'll be reading more of.

First of all, I just want to say that this is the second book in the series, picking up right where the first one left off, so it is highly suggested that this be read after VAMPIRE KISSES. Consider that your warning. Now that thats out of the way, on to the book!

Goth-girl Raven has just discovered that her boyfriend Alexander Sterling, new to the town of Dullsville, is an actual vampire. Unfortunately, the morning after this startling discovery, he disappears. Raven is devastated, but doesnt dare ask anyone for help for fear they will discover his secret.

She decides to take it into her own hands and sets off to look for clues to his whereabouts, determined to find him and convince him that she is perfectly fine with the fact that he is one of the undead. Her search leads her to the Mansion, where she finds a mysterious note in Alexanders bedroom that only says, Alexander, HE IS ON HIS WAY! She then takes a trip to nearby Hipsterville, home of hippies, Goths, starving artists, her aunt Libby, and hopefully Alexander.

Following a trail of clues, she visits the Coffin Club (a popular hangout for Goths), the Hipsterville Historical Society (who knew THAT would be helpful?), and a deserted mansion on the outskirts of town (thats hopefully not really deserted at all).

She also meets the mysterious and slightly creepy Jagger, who offers to help her with her search. But is he just a goth-obsessed teen like Raven, or is he the real thing? And why does he seem so interested in Alexander?

KISSING COFFINS is a fun, quick read for those looking for a vampire story without the blood and gore. However, the writing is often quite shallow, and the relationship between Raven and Alexander is never really fully developed enough for my taste. Im not saying I didnt enjoy the book, and Im definitely looking forward to the rest of the series, but if youre looking for a really great vampire story, Id recommend checking out Stephenie Meyers TWILIGHT or Vivian Vande Veldes COMPANIONS OF THE NIGHT.

This book really didn't leave a great impression on me. Some things that Raven would say just made me roll my eyes to myself. Even trying to put my mind into the mind of a 16 year old wasn't doing it for me. I did enjoy, as I did in the last book, how the characters do seem to grow through out the book, but the story itself just didn't do it for me. It seemed like the plot wasn't really on the fore front. It was just odd.
I do plan on giving the next one a try.

I really only recommend this book to those who've read the first one.

Another great book in this serries! The last book leaves us wondering if Raven and Alexander will find each other again. This book starts where that one left off and is full of new characters and a new town. The ending of this book will leave you 'dying' to start book three - guaranteed!
