This book was disappointing. Early on, the book's tone was set with some distastefully violent scenes, then it dissolved into a multi-creature buddy quest with too much dialog and goofy attempts at modern-day humor in a medeival setting. Unfortunately, however, "A Knight's Tale" it ain't.

Wow. Go McKinley! I really love the imagination behind The Lords of Avalon series. Stong interesting characters nicely twisted story line and a wonderful sense of humor...I may reconsider posting... at least I will read it again before I ship it off.
This was a great read. I literally laughed out loud more than once.
