Four stories by Lynn Kurland, Patricia Potter, Deborah Simmons, Glynnis Campbell. "The Traveller" has Knight William's solemn vow to protect all women tested when Julianna time travels back from Manhattan. Story was a bit trite for me. "The Minstrel" has Duncan disguising himself as a minstrel in search of a bride who will want him for himself, not his wealth. "Bachelor Knight" has a lady from his past asking him to marry her, but their past history gets in the way of love. "The Siege" was the best--the curse upon The Black Gryphon has left three of his wives dead, with his latest betrothed fleeing through castle tunnels from him. In his attempt to get into the castle via those tunnels, they collapse, trapping them both. Facing death underground, they both try to hide who they are from each other, but of course, love wins out.

Four medieval romances with the common theme of a knight's vow, nothing spectacular. I got this for the Lynn Kurland story, another thread in the time travel tapestry that she weaves and the longest of the four. Patricia Potter is another of my favorite historical romance writers, and this piece is on par with her skill, maybe a little cliched. The other two shorts (by Deborah Simmons and Glynnis Campbell) are okay, somewhat trite but entertaining enough, nothing to make me want to read more of their stuff. Good for a relaxing, mindless read.
