1st book I have read by this author and I loved it. Great story about a girl who wants to love the guy but doesn't know how. Quinn & Audie are great characters. There's a little mystery, suspense, humor and steam. Real quick read.

This is a very sexy book. And a great mystery. Part Martha Stewart, part Carmen Electra, Autumn Adams who is under the protection of sexy Detective Quinn takes you on a great read.

I'm going to be the odd-man-out and say how tiring this book was. I almost quit reading at page 200. The heroine was so damaged from her dysfunctional family that I don't buy the turn-around at the end. I wanted to scream at Quinn, "Run! Run like the wind! Because this woman will never be anything but emotionally empty." I even started skimming the sex scenes coz I just didn't give a damned about these two people together.

This is not your cozy mystery, it's a fun read, that keeps moving. Not for everyone, spicier than the usual mystery. I enjoyed it and the author is usually good for a quick read on a rainy afternoon.
I guess the book is ok for the genre, but it seemed to me to be too heavy on the sex and too light on the mystery.

Who wouldn't want a sexy detective following you around making sure your safe? I sure would if was Stacy Quinn. He's charming, strong and a great cook. Did I mention he cleans?

Great h/h-she's obligated to take over her "Mommy Dearest's" household hints column when she'd rather be coaching soccer. She becomes the victim of a wierd stalker, and is assigned to a totally yummy Chicago detective who takes his duty seriously. She has spaz/klutz tendencies under pressure, he loves and laughs in a big way. Lots of angst and some great one liners. Pretty hot, too!
This is one of Susan Donavan's best books.. You can not read this book and keep from laughing or at least smiling through it.. She is also an auto-buy for me..

Autumn Adams never planed to follow in her mothers foorsteps as Chicagos answer to Martha Stewart, she can't cook, doesn't clean and would rather play soccer then discuss the joys of cleaning bathroom grout. Someone is sending her threats in the mail and Detective Quinn is determined to examine her every nook. Digging through Audie's many layers turns out to be the hottest, craziest, sexiest piece of detective work he ever attempted if it doesn't kill him first! Good read.
Light-hearted fun. I really enjoyed my first exposure to this author and plan to read more.
