First thing I want to comment on is that the "Koi" in the tile Koihime Soushi is for the word "love," not the for the word "Japanese carp". I was under the impression that this book would have a plot revolving around a princess and carp.
I was not really impress with the storyline or the characters. The characters Kimono and hair styles are drawn very cute if you enjoy eye candy (this is manga, who doesn't?). It is definitely an easy read with very little substance. I would not recommend this book unless you are a fan of Koge Donbo's previous work.
