Just out of curiosity, I went into the PBS Recipes forum and did a search for "Kosher". That brought up a screen with 12 recipes contributed by PBS members. So there is a sub-heading already in existence. I noted with amusement, however, that one of the dozen recipes was for "HAM and Pickle Roll-Ups". Are there new dietary rules I haven't heard about? Hmmmmmmmm Browsing in PBS, I ran across a book entitled Miriam's Kitchen, by Elizabeth Ehrlich. How about a really good EASY brisket recipe. Anyone with a slow cooker have one? |

brown as many onions as you prefer. I use at least 6 sweet onions. season with salt and pepper, add a couple of fresh garlic cloves and paprika. add 1 tsp. sugar and carmelize the onions. Brown in oil Remove from pan and brown the brisket on all sides. Add 2 pkg. brown gravy mix, water, red wine , S& P, a few bay leaves. Add onions and cover pan and simmer on top pf stove for at least 2 hrs. check on it and add a little more water if necessary. The liquids should cover the brisket. add a cup or so of red wine. Remove from pan and cool for 15 minutes, slice with an electric knife and put back in the pan. cover and simmer for another 2 hrs. You can add carrots and potatoes if you like. Season with addition S& P if necessary and serve. This is really an easy recipe, although it does take time to cook. Its really delicious. Let me know if you do decide to prepare this recipe. I am so glad that you loved the recipe. As a matter of fact, I cooked it last night for passover and everyone ate and ate. Happy Passover to you and your family. Isn't is wonderful to share favorite recipes and have them live on and on. |

In a glass baking dish, canola spray inside. Four tilapia fillets, 2 packages of creamed spinach - Thawed - spread over the fish like frosting a cake, cover with mozzerella cheese. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Serves 1-4 depending on your appetite! We have done this for our residents at a kosher assisted living facility and they love it! Most meals they just complain but this one they like! I make it at home for me as well. Enjoy Lynn |

I made the tilapia w/spinach & cheese and it was delicious. My husband doesn't care for baked fish and yet he licked his plate clean. Thanks for the recipe, I will definetly make it again, |
