I am an avid fan of Lucille Ball, just ask my fmaily. This book is in her words. While reading this book I can really hear her voice. The love she poored into this book, I have not seen or read in another book. You can tell she really loved Desi and she did all she could to make the marriage work until it was no longer workable. Totally recommend this to anyone who wants to know more about Lucille Ball.

I love Lucy! This was a wonderful story of Lucille Ball's life found amoung her papers by her children after her death. It's her story, all the freckles and bumps included.

Although I read this book over 10 years ago, I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the life of Lucille Ball. As I recall, this book was pretty much written all by Lucy herself and was so interesting to see how she became the huge success that she was as a comedic actress.
I enjoyed reading this book about Lucille Ball, especially because it was written in her own words. It had a good account of her childhood and early life. However, I grew up watching the reruns of I Love Lucy and I haven't seen her in any of the movies she talked about nor did I know many of the actors/actresses she referred to in the book. This book felt a little incomplete because it was written in the '60s so it is not her complete life story. Overall, a pretty good book.
