Thoroughly enjoyed the short stories written by Lore Segal. This is my first time reading this author and I look forward to reading more of her books. Writing style is comforting, the short stories about the elderly friends who meet for lunch felt like I was listening in on their conversations. This book would definitely appeal to someone who grew up in Manhattan but was still universal in its message of friendship and caring. Additional short stories in the book were enlightening and full of meaning.
