I am so loving this series! This steampunk world is wildly entertaining where humans and automatons exist side by side with its funky gadgets and slick conveniences. Sam and Hazel's story is a twist of the Rapunzel fairy tale, incorporating Hazel's supernatural healing gifts, a powerful uncle who isn't what he seems, and an unnerving trip in a submersible where danger hovers within its confines. The romance is low key, kisses only, and Sam is perhaps not as compelling a hero as the others in this series, but its shear creativity effortlessly carries the tale, and its reader, all the way to the very end. Wonderful! 4.5 stars
