Dr. Shona Taylor is an interesting character, and the animals in the book are a whole lot of fun. Creative look at what medicine might develop into in the far future, and plenty of excitement to keep you reading. I would recommend, however, that you read the first book in this series (Taylor's Ark), since there is a lot of the story that is linked to the earlier book.
