This book is a companion to The Girl Who Knew Much and combines romance, mystery, and Hollywood golden age glamour. Quick always draws me in to her stories and her characters are realistic and likable. It was fun to read about the era of roadsters, operator assisted phone calls, and auto courts.

This book is a page turner that kept me up all night trying to finish it. And just when I thought it was all done, the mystery was solved and everyone was going to get their happily ever after, Amanda Quick writes in a "GOTCHA!" surprise at the end. Wow!
