This is book #2 in a trilogy. Very well written, I think the author had a blast writing the dialogue for these characters. It was fun to read because of it. Wonderful secondary characters added nicely to the story.
This is the second book in the "wager" family, first one was Dark Wager. The gambler that is setting everyone up is forbidden to bet on this couple getting married but that doesn't stop the lady from making the wager. Entertaining, author is able to add unfavorable characteristics to main characters and ensemble cast while still making the people sympathetic. Has a bunch of do-gooder rescue type situations in the book that move along some of the action.
