Helpful Score: 1
Beeing as interested as I am about Tibet, the Dalai Lama and it's people. I found this book totally fascinating. I have read other books about Tibet and the problem with China before but this book is the best by far since it was written by the Dalai Lama himself. Even though this happened long ago it saddens me to see that this situation has not been resolved. It is amazing the capacity for love, forgiveness and tolerance that the Dalai Lama shows for a country that has done this to Tibet. You learn a lot about his compassionate heart from reading his words. It is also very interesting to understand how he was recognized as an incarnation of the previous Dalai Lama, his childhood and his studies. And ends with an outline of the Buddhism of Tibet.
It is a very touching book.
I highly recommend it.
There was a film done about this book, the name is "Kundun" for those of you who may be interested is seeing it.
