I have read other books by Andrew Clements, such as The School Story, and he is a very good author. I enjoyed this book very much and I'm sure you will as well!
Clements really understands the middle-schooler
A fifth-grader starts a newspaper with an editorial that prompts her burnt-out classroom teacher to really begin teaching again, but he is later threatened with disciplinary action as a result.

I thought this was a great book!
A fifth grader's scathing editorial criticizing her burned-out teacher spurs him to take his duties seriously. A terrific read about free speech, the power of the pen, and the need to temper truth with mercy.
This is a good school story for 3rd graders on up by the author of Frindle. It has 20 short chapters and is a great summer read for elementary school students.
"Another terrific school story by the inventor of Frindle" - The Horn Book
This book is very inspiring!
The way the main character handles the issues that present themselves really draws you into the story. Andrew Clements expresses the emotions very well. I loved this book! Read it!
