this book was a huge disappointment. I have loved liane Moriarty books, but this one just didn't have it. the storyline was all over the place all of the chapters were weak and unlikable I couldn't finish.

This was the first Liane Moriarty book I've read. It was interesting and well written. The story flowed easily and the characters were well developed. I sort of-kind of guessed who done-it, and was right, but had the wrong reason. It is an enjoyable beach, vacation read. I am looking forward to reading her other books.
A fun read.
i really loved this book, it was such a page-turner!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Great story and characters and moved along nicely. Good summer read! Carol
This book was EXCELLENT! I loved "3 Wishes", and this one did not disappoint. I wish I could live on Scribbly Gum Island!!
This was such a cute read!!! Sophie was so charming....the author really made you fall for each character! Can't wait to read more from her!
I didn't love this book but I didn't hate it either. It was tough to connect with the characters but kept me reding.
I loved this book. I loved the characters and really felt for them throughout the story.
Oh, this was a fun book! I didn't enjoy it quite as much as _Three Wishes_, but I certainly did have a good time reading it! I giggled out loud and even teared-up in a few places. My only real complaint was that Sophie's story was left a bit too open for my tastes... Still, I enjoyed the book and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for any future books by this talented writer. Moriarty has a real knack for creating likable characters and entertaining (if not entirely unpredictable) situations.
I didn't love this book, but it did keep me interested enough to finish it. Just romance and easy love stories is not my cuppa tea and It was boring at times. However, Grace interested me and I fumed because no one had any idea she was suffering from post partum depression, wanting to hurt her baby and kill herself. She hid it well and when Callum was suspicious, the family talked him out of it thinking she was fine. Grace is the only reason I gave this book 5 stars.
As for Sophie, she was pathetic, almost 40, her clock ticking and no one to call her own. She spent her time wondering where "Mr. Right" was, and the book ended without really giving her closure.
I think 3 stars is a little too much, 2-1/2 stars is better. I have three more books written by Ms.Moriaty on my TBR, but they are at the bottom of the list for now.

This book was a disappointment, as I've read other Moriarty books which were excellent. It was slow going until about halfway through, when things started happening. There are way too many characters to keep straight as to who is related to whom. I finally figured it out. And the characters lack depth...it's just not the Liane Moriarty that I have grown to love. If I had read this one first, it would have been the last of her books. But her other books are SO good, I will try her again.
I found the writing confusing at first. The author switched between characters often. Some chapters were short and you did not know who was participating in the conversation or story. I created a family tree to keep all the characters straight and who was related to who. The real story is not about the mystery but about the characters and how they discover their true selves.
An unexpected bequest draws a young woman back into the family circle of an ex-beau, where she is drawn into a complex and long-standing family mystery.
