I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this book. The second book in the Boonsboro Inn saga was about the story of Owen and Avery. Great characters - so well developed and with such depth that the reader feels that they've know them for most of their lives rather than for merely a few hours (or pages). The plot was good, both for this specific book and for the continuation of the story of the Inn and the community and the story of the ghost Elizabeth (Lizzy).

I really look forward to this series continuing!

I loved this book! She's expanded on the first book of the series and this one is even better. It is a straight love story (no creepy stalker!)and even though I couldn't entirely identify with the heroine, I liked her alot. She fills out the paranormal aspect of this story to make the reader want more and learn the history.
I am eagerly awaiting book 3!

Loved it! Book 2 in the trilogy this is the story of super organized Owen and Avery who has never made a list in her life. Friends since childhood they are now starting to see each other in a new light and want to take it slow so as not to ruin their friendship. Not much conflict in this one it was smooth and easy. And though the third brother Ryder comes off majorly rude and crass to Hope and I wouldn't have been surprised if she smacked him I'm looking forward to their story and finding out more about Ryder and what's behind his behavior.
And let's not forget the resident ghost Lizzy. We learned more about her in this one and I can't wait to find out what happened to her love Billy

An excellent story of 3 young women and 3 brothers who work together to own and run several businesses. Funny, tender, and sad at times. Nora Roberts can spin an authentic tale including a ghost.

After two long years of planning, rehabbing, and rebuilding, the Inn at Boonsboro is getting close to being completed. Owen Montgomery takes care of the money and the details for the project. He has been visiting Avery MacTavish at her pizza shop across the street, sometimes just to get a quiet place to make phone calls. Avery doesn't mind. She's been friends with Owen since they were kids. As a matter of fact, Owen was her first boyfriend. Now an impulsive kiss may have changed their relationship forever.

The second book in Nora Roberts Inn at Boonsboro trilogy starts while they are still completing the finishing touches to the Inn. I wish the book was illustrated. I'd love to see the finished product. Some of the rooms sound fabulous. This book is about longtime friends Owen and Avery whose relationship has changed. They were nervous about what this would do to their friendship in the long run. There were no real problems in their relationship, so I found their romance to be kind of boring.

My favorite part of this story was the ghost subplot. I'm looking forward to seeing what information the characters dig up about the ghost. I also enjoyed the tidbits of Ryder and Hope and their New Years Eve kiss. I'm looking forward to their book since they have a turbulent association. My rating: 3.5 Stars.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I read it in one day. The storyline is believable and the characters are developed further. There were some moments that I laughed at loud. I can not wait to read the last book because I really want to see what is going on in Ryder's head. He is so rude to Hope! When his Mom called him out on his rudeness it was so funny to see him squirm!

The second in the Inn Boonsboro series, The Last Boyfriend continues to develop the relationship between the three female main characters and the three Montgomery brothers. Although the story line is quite predictable, the continuation of the story of the ghost who resides at the Inn gives another "dimension" to the story.
This series uses the language of young adults today which may be offensive to some readers.

Of the three, this one to me had the most laugh-out-loud moments. Great continuation of the family and the story was well told and unfolded well. Really enjoyed this trilogy from start to finish!

Book 2 of the Inn Boonsboro Trilogy, this is a sweet romance without much conflict. Avery was raised by her father when her mother left and isn't sure she believes in happily ever after. Owen is a super-organized list maker who always has a plan. When these two old friends see each other in a new light, they decide to take it slow and easy. Further clues in the mystery of the inn's ghost are discovered and you see characters from book one.

So, so BORING! I can't believe this is Nora Roberts' writing. Also cannot believe all these glowing reviews. People must be settling for a lot less these days.

Nora Roberts succeeded again with this book 2 in the Inn BoonsBoro series. Other than very colorful language, the story telling is compelling. Loved it.

The story line follows the last book seamlessly. The characters are loveable, especially Avery. I can't believe how much she worked. But i did not want to know all about she and Owens sex life.

Imagining the progress on the hotel is awesome. The mom of the guys was cute with all her matching tennis shoes.

In a word- Boring. I really enjoyed the first in this series, and looked forward to reading this one. I was disappointed. The characters we grew to love were flat in this book. I had a hard time keeping track of who was who, especially the ladies. The romance was dull. They are old friends turned into a couple, but I just didn't feel the sparks or the relationship. And what was up with Ryder? He was rude, crude, and just mean. The whole book was a little crass, but I was ready to slap Ryder. If the next book is about him, I might not read it. I can't see a great person like Hope falling for him. At least, that's who I think she's going to put together. Very disappointed in Nora this time around.
