A little mystery, and a past that haunts a young married woman, and the hunt for the lost camellia flower. A travel to the English countryside by a young couple, both are writers and the desire to look for the lost camellia. An enjoyable read with a flair for the unknown, the beautiful camellia.

Just a dreadful book.
The plot had such good potential. In the hands of a good gothic author, this could have been great. An old English manor, hidden heirloom plants, disappearance of young girls, death of a Lady
Instead, we have a moronic modern day heroine, whose dilemma could be solved in an instance.
60 years is too long a timespan for 2 interweaving stories, esp for Mrs. Dilloway, and who is she married to anyway?
Second heroine is an idiot. First heroine disappears for no good reason.
We learn nothing about camellias, except that they are hardy. In fact, throughout the book, no one is allowed to go to the orchard.
