Holly Bennett left Wyoming years ago for Montana when her father kept reminding her that she was a chump for ignoring his advice. She loved Tyler Alvarez and was pregnant with his baby but miscarried due to a car accident. He dumped her without looking back. Now she comes home to run the ranch because her dad suffered a stroke. However, he refuses to allow a stupid daughter to take over so she must accommodate his anointed one Hank who seems to only want to come on to her.
To her shock, Ty Alvarez owns the ranch next door as he somehow inherited the Wilson property. To her chagrin she still loves the rat who deserted her. Ty is also surprised because he loves his Holly. This time he vows as an adult he will win and keep his beloved as he knows her father conned a naïve teen into leaving.
THE LAST COWBOY HERO is a fine Wyoming ranch second chance at love romance starring two people who loved one another as teens and still do as adults, but do not trust the other. Though her acrimonious despot father seems over the top, the story line is fun to read as Ty realizes that what he thought was murdered still beats strongly in his heart and this time he plans to succeed.
