It's ok. As typical for every Ann Rule book, she presents the stories as good vs evil. People are either all good or all bad in her stories instead of being real people...it's a little tiring. I'm not saying that the criminals in her books haven't done bad things, but her telling of the stories is a bit simplistic and cut & dried. Nothing in life is that simple.

I avoid Ann Rule's full-length books because they are very long (longer than I care to spend inside the mind of any criminal). But her other book of short cases that I read, Without Pity, offered cases so short that they blurred together by the time I finished the book. This book was a good compromise. The title story takes up more than three-fifths of the book and is interesting and memorable, and the other cases, though short, stand out as well. Recommended for true crime fans. Ann Rule's Crime Files, #8.

Had never read any of Ann Rule's mysteries before. (I know, it's hard to believe!) After many recommendations I finally dove in. I was not disappointed! Last Dance Last Chanceand Other True Cases is just that - true crime detailed.
