I STARTED OUT IN THIS BOOK FEELING LIKE IT WAS JUST A SORT OF TRAVELOG OF ONE MAN'S LIFE WITH HIS DOG. IT WAS THAT, BUT MUCH MORE. THE AMAZING LOU AND THE AMAZING BOND BETWEEN MAN AND DOG BECAME FASCINATING AND TENDER. I ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH.
I hate giving anything written about dogs a bad review but I just couldn't finish this book...the writer, Steve Duno, was too much of an ego manic for me. I get his dog was special but after awhile I got the feeling Steve was talking less about the dog and more about his own "superior being".
