A nasty novel about people who are nasty to the nth degree. In several spots I felt the author was manipulative rather than skilled. If you're the type of person who can detach yourself from bad things in the world, maybe you'll enjoy this book more than I did.

The Last Mrs. Parrish is a juicy, and addictive psychological thriller. Amber Patterson becomes friends with Daphne Parrish. Amber is envious of Daphne's life of money and power. Her husband, Jackson, is a real-estate mogul and everyone in the town of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut, thinks their life is straight out of a fairy tale. But all is not as it seems as Jackson is an abuser and a manipulator. As Amber grows closer to Jackson, a skeleton from her past undermines everything that she has worked towards. Shocking turns and dark secrets will keep you guessing until the very end. I found this book to be a quick, entertaining read with an interesting ending.
