Helpful Score: 1
This book was the first I had heard of this trilogy. The characters in this book are of a Norse Myth culture, which I am very interested in to begin with. The story is compelling and the rest of the series is just as good. I would recommend this book to any fantasy writer who wants a new story that has not been told in any book I have read before.

slow read, good detail to the fantasy

Reichert's storytelling is still excellent, and I liked the way that the novel drew on Nordic mythology. However, I never found myself liking the main character of the book.
Very interesting book, captured my attention and made me want to know what was going to happen next. I am now reading the rest of the trilogy. I Recommend this book!
Enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

The Renshai series is a great read, with engaging characters, heroes with flaws, and a good solid footing in its created world. They are really fun reading.
