Last Stop by Karen Randau is book #4 in the Peach Blossom romantic suspense series, but I read it as a standalone novel.
Overview: A string of seemingly random crimes threatens a small Oklahoma town, and a runaway bride and a deputy sheriff lead the effort to restore peace.
This plot has a lot of action packed into 280 pages so events happen very quickly, including the relationship between the hero and heroine. Some of the aspects of the story were too coincidental to be believable. The story held my interest, but one visit to Peach Blossom is sufficient for me.
I'm in full support of women (characters) being empowered to have more control in their lives, but I was very surprised by the pro-gun subplot in this novel.
