Oh boy. I am sad to say that this story is a perfect example of a heroine that annoys the CRAP out of me. Shes TOO stubborn, TOO rude, and got on my nerves on almost every page. I thought after 100 pages, shed warm up to her man, but no. She fights him until the very last page. Dont get me wrong, there are some sweet moments, but I couldnt get the relationship between the two, one minute enemies, the next lovers. Many writers can make it work, she didnt, for me. This was my first Sandra Hill book, it wont be my last, but Ill only read one or two more before I can say I like or dislike her. Thank goodness for the humor, it carried me through.

This one had it all, funny, sad, serious, educational, and a little steamy at times. I've loved the whole Viking series and thought I had read them all. What a treat.

The storyline was different to most time-travel books. This one has the hero (ROLF) bought forward from the tenth to the twentieth century instead of having the heroine go back in time. The story is hilarious, I have never laughed so much as I did reading it, especially at some of Rolf's pronounciation of the words. Merry-death(Meredith) is a wonderful herione especially when Rolf is trying to put her in her place. He is a real chauvanist but very lovable with it. I can guarentee this book will have you in stitches and tears, a brilliant read.

Wonderfully light hearted take of a Viking moving forward in time to 1997. Some light Viking history, enough to make you want to look it up. Fun characters and steamy romance. Worth reading more of Ms Hill's books.
I've enjoyed other Sandra Hill time travel books and decided to read the Viking II series. All 10 books in under 2 weeks.

Usually the first book is so-so and the series becomes highly entertaining by the 3rd book. I'm hoping they're not all the same plot like most time travel series are.

"The Last Viking" humorously relates their adventures with lot of sizzle. Hill has become adept at blending the
"bodice ripper" style romance with laughs and time travel. Although some parts lagged a bit. This book is a great way
to spend a hot, lazy afternoon. I really enjoyed it!

Delightful Love this series!

Sandra Hill's romantic and raucous tale of time-crossed lovers will touch your heart- and your funny bone. Meredith is delightful as the staid professor at odds with the macho man from the past. Their relationship is full of passion, and enough humor to make you laugh out loud.

Truly enjoyed this book. Sandra Hill has a wonderful sense of humor. The book was funny, sexy and a fast great read. Looking forward to other books this author has written
