I thought this was a really interesting crime novel that I thoroughly enjoyed. I am on the lookout for more novels by her now because I thought this story was written very well and I had trouble putting it down!

Anything by Jilliane Hoffman is good. She not a well known author but this book, or any of her other two books will keep you on the edge of your seat. She's one author that I really keep an eye on for new releases.
Excellent book! If you enjoyed her first, Retribution, this one was even better.

I liked the book very much, because the characters are ones that seem real and the plot was good too.

A tense, gripping crime drama set against a richly detailed background of the Miami legal system and police departments.
Miami Assistant State Attorney C.J. Townsend is living a nightmare. She's haunted by her role in the Cupid Murders. She withheld evidence, critical to the defense, to put the man who raped her on death row. Now she's being terrorized as someone begins murdering the five others engaged in the conspiracy of silence surrounding that case.

Another terrific page turner from Hoffman. It helps to have read the prequel - Retribution. There's plenty of gore and twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. However, I didn't like that the ending set you up for a possible third installment. I hope not, C.J.'s been through enough.
Solid- not as much fun as retribution but excellent auther
Protags: CJ Townsend
Setting: Miami, Florida
First Sentence: "The heavy wooden doors to courtroom 4-8 swung open again, tapping the back of the chair where a corrections officer sat fiddling with the bottom snap on his department-issued green windbreaker."
Comments: 2nd book in series. A nice follow-up to her first book RETRIBUTION which was my favorite book of 2004.

Cops are being murdered while on patrol and the situation is heating up. Suspense and surprise are in store.
I hadn't read anything by this author before. I enjoyed the book and would read more of her work.
A thriller that has it all....violence, action, romance, political intrigue, and a touch of humor.
Excellent read! I hope Ms. Hoffman writes more books.
Full of twists mystery.
I really enjoyed this book, so much that I am going to look for the book before this.
Awesome!!!!
This author has written another thriller. I am so glad I discovered her. Book kept my interest from the first page on. Just enough romance, mystery and surprised. Good read.
